Cairn

A private knowledge system. Future commercial product — not a throwaway experiment.

The catalog is the index. The archive is the source. Chat sits on top of both.

Most “knowledge” tools flatten everything into a chat window and hope retrieval holds. Cairn keeps the layers honest. The catalog tells you what exists. The archive is the source of truth. Chat is an interface on top — useful, not the system.

Give the next decision the context of the last one.

That is the job. Not a public graph. Not a demo of documents lighting up. A working catalog I use, and a product I intend to ship.

cairn.trawsome.com is password-gated. It is not an open app. I’m not going to invent a catalog UI for this page.
